Lee-Jane Chen, President

Lee-Jane Chen, President of SLSA, holds a master’s degree in Information Systems from the College of
William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. With over 20 years of dedicated volunteer service, she has
served as a board member at the Hai Hwa Community Center and as a division leader at the Tzu Chi
Buddhist Foundation, Greater Washington Chapel.

Her academic background and extensive volunteer
experience have equipped her with strong leadership skills and a deep commitment to community
service.

Ms. Chen joined SLSA in 2021 and was elected as its 10th president in January 2022, a role she continues
to hold. As president, she oversees the organization’s administration, strategic direction, and overall
activities, ensuring SLSA’s mission to serve seniors is carried out effectively and compassionately.

Ian Zhang, Advisor

Ian Zhang, an MBA graduate from Queen’s University (Canada), has over 20 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic leadership. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Chinese American Parents Association of Northern Virginia. With a background in nonprofit financial operations and cross-functional collaboration, Ian provides key insights and leadership to help SLSA achieve its goals.

Ping Liang, Vice President & Activity Manager

Ping Liang has extensive experience in material management, business management, and volunteer work, including teaching adult dance. She joined SLSA in 2022 as Vice President and manages cultural and sports activities, continuing her dedication to senior engagement.

Lixin Zeng, Vice President & Treasurer

Lixin Zeng is a seasoned professional with solid expertise in finance, taxation, administration and senior care management. Majoring in finance and taxation, he accumulated ten years of working experience in tax collection and tax inspection, forming rigorous work habits and proficient financial supervision capabilities.

In 2014, Mr. Zeng relocated to the United States and served as Manager of the NOVA Adult Daycare and Homecare Center. During his tenure, he acquired comprehensive experience in elderly care services and institutional operation management.

In 2022, Mr. Zeng joined the Board of the Silver Light Seniors Association as Vice President, overseeing all financial operations of the association. Combining his professional taxation background and mature senior care management experience, he has consistently promoted the standardized, stable and sustainable development of the association’s public welfare undertakings.

Milan Li, Secretary

Milan Li, a Senior Automation Instrumentation Engineer with a degree in Industrial Enterprise Electrical Engineering, has a passion for literature and a strong background in senior services. She has been with SLSA since 2006 and became Secretary in 2024, contributing her leadership and writing expertise to the organization.

KaiLun Weng, Cashier

With a background in the garment industry and community leadership, KaiLun Weng joined SLSA in 2017 and became a board member in 2020. As Cashier, he plays a crucial role in the financial management of the organization.

Yu Ping Xiao, Education and Health Affairs Manager

Yu Ping Xiao has a background in technical management and community leadership, having served as Director of a Neighborhood Committee in Shanghai. She joined SLSA in 2019 and became a board member in 2024, overseeing education and health wellness affairs for seniors.

Hua Chen, General Affairs Manager

Hua Chen has a diploma in adult secondary education and has held multiple key positions in business management throughout his career. He joined SLSA in 2018 and became a board member in 2022, managing general affairs for the organization.

Ming Yu, Director of Care Department

Ming Yu studied finance and trade in the United States in his early years. He has extensive working experience in import and export businesses and international investment consulting. After retirement, he was employed as a Health Consultant at NOVA Adult Day Care Center.

He joined the Silver Light Senior Association in 2022 and has been an active member committed to community elderly services and public welfare work.
